Endorsements
I am committed to protecting Puerto Rico's natural resources, ensuring that environmental policies sustain and give way to the next generations. Promote legislation that strengthens the conservation of ecosystems and biodiversity, mitigating the effects of climate change and promoting sustainable and sustainable practices, as well as the implementation of environmental education programs to raise public awareness of the importance of protecting the environment, fostering a culture of respect and care for nature.
QUALITY OF LIFE
I will advocate from Washington for the improvement of health and education services and public infrastructure, including transportation, parks and recreation, to improve the quality of life for all people. I will also prioritize the social and economic well-being of communities, ensuring that all people have access to basic services and opportunities to thrive, promoting policies that foster a dignified and safe life for all, especially the most disadvantaged.
NO MORE CORRUPTION
In our administration in the federal capital, we will propose a transparent and open management of funds, where accountability is the norm, not the exception. We will promote the establishment of stricter systems for the monitoring and oversight of public funds, ensuring that every penny is used for what it was allocated for. We will continue our tireless fight against corruption to restore confidence in public institutions and guarantee that resources are used to improve the lives of all Puerto Ricans.
SUSTAINABLE AND SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT
I will promote development practices that respect and preserve Puerto Rico's biodiversity, natural and environmental resources, integrating sustainability into all public policies.Commits to collaborate with local and international businesses to promote an economy that is resilient and sustainable in the long term.
Decolonization
I propose to set in motion a process of decolonization of the archipelago of Puerto Rico through a Constitutional Assembly of Status; which is the procedural mechanism where the people will exercise their right of self-determination to convene and organize themselves politically, in negotiation and dialogue with the United States. We propose a process that guarantees the equitable participation of decolonizing options, meaning: statehood, independence and free association.
EDUCATION FIRST
We consider education as the cornerstone of development and equity, which is why we will strive to improve the quality of education from early childhood through higher education. We will promote investment in educational infrastructure and technology, ensuring that every student has access to modern and effective learning resources. We will also support educators through continuous professional development programs and fair salaries.
JUSTICE AND EQUITY
Our commitment has always been and will always be with the struggle for policies that eradicate all forms of discrimination, including but not limited to discrimination based on gender, sexual orientation, race/ethnicity, among many others, and that promote equal opportunities for all people, regardless of their origin. Our priority is and will continue to be to improve conditions for marginalized and underserved communities in all communities in the archipelago. We have fought and will continue to fight for a truly fair and equitable judicial system, ensuring justice for all.
HEALTH
We will work to finance a universal single-payer health care system to ensure services to the entire population. Stop the implementation of the new risk adjustment model and make adjustments to payment formulas based on poverty levels and access risks. In addition to promoting legislation to increase Medicare Advantage rates to the level of the US Virgin Islands (USVI).
WORK AND SALARY
I will advocate for decent and fair wages that reflect the true value of work in our archipelago. I will promote wage equity, especially for women, ensuring that all people receive fair compensation regardless of their gender and will propose the creation of policies that incentivize the creation of stable and well-paying jobs, thus fostering inclusive, sustainable and sustainable economic development.
AFFORDABLE HOUSING
From Washington, we will propose policies and measures to ensure access to decent and affordable housing for all people, especially the most vulnerable. We will seek to expand housing subsidy programs and promote the development of new affordable housing units. We also recognize the need to implement regulations that protect tenants from unfair evictions and disproportionate rent increases.
